LMS STUCO Spreads Kindness in Downtown Salina
Lakewood Middle School STUCO students took their end-of-year celebration beyond the classroom on Wednesday, May 13, by heading downtown to spread kindness and positivity throughout the community. Students spent time along Santa Fe creating encouraging chalk messages designed to brighten the day of everyone passing by.
As they worked, students also had the opportunity to visit with several local business owners and learn more about the downtown community. The experience gave students a chance to connect with others, represent Lakewood Middle School positively, and share messages of encouragement with the Salina community.
The students appreciated the warm welcome they received throughout the day and are thankful to Downtown Salina for supporting the activity and making the experience so enjoyable. The event was a great reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big impact in the community.
