Lakewood Bands Close the Year with Outstanding Spring Concert

The Lakewood Middle School music department wrapped up the school year with an impressive End-of-Year Band Concert on May 14, featuring performances by the Jazz Band, along with the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade bands. Families, friends, and staff filled the auditorium to celebrate the hard work and musical growth of students throughout the year.

The evening opened with the Jazz Band, whose energetic performance showcased strong musicianship, creativity, and confidence. Students demonstrated excellent rhythm and teamwork while performing a variety of entertaining selections that set the tone for the night.

The 6th-grade band highlighted the progress students have made during their first year of band, performing with enthusiasm and growing confidence. The 7th-grade band continued the evening with polished performances that reflected their developing skills and dedication throughout the year. The concert concluded with the 8th-grade band, whose performance demonstrated leadership, maturity, and the musical growth they have achieved during their time at Lakewood Middle School.

The concert was a wonderful celebration of the talent and commitment of Lakewood’s student musicians and a fitting way to close another successful year in band. Congratulations to all of the students and directors on an outstanding performance and memorable evening of music.
