Harper is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. At school, she is involved with volleyball, track, and music. Her favorite class is math, and she loves seeing her friends in the hallways. Outside of school, Harper plays club volleyball and is a member of the Salina Burn track and field club. After high school, she plans to become a travel nurse to help those who are sick. Some fun facts about Harper are that she is going on a cruise this spring, she enjoys traveling, visiting Colorado, running outside in warm-weather months, and spending quality time with her friends, who mean the world to her.
Braxton is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. At school, he is in the band, jazz band, and plays football and basketball. Outside of school, he attends church youth group, takes piano lessons, and is a member of the Salina Youth Jazz Band. His favorite part of school is the opportunity to make new friends. He enjoys all of his classes, specifically band and jazz band. His favorite teachers are Mr. G and Coach Broome. After high school, he plans to attend the University of Kansas and join the marching band. Some fun facts about Braxton are that he has traveled outside of the country two times, he loves playing video games and watching sports, and he has seven fish.
Gabriel is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. At school, he is involved with football, wrestling, and tennis. Gabriel’s favorite part of school is seeing his friends. Outside of school, he attends church, participates in club wrestling, and spends time working with his dad. Azalia is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. She plans to join band in the future. She enjoys everything about school, especially Mr. Cuadra and Ms. Stone, because they are extremely motivating and are always there to help when she needs assistance in class. After high school, she plans to attend college in Kansas or Atlanta, Georgia, where she intends to major in science and pursue a career as a registered nurse, doctor, or mechanical engineer. Some fun facts about her are that she enjoys hands-on activities and has family in Jamaica.
Muna is a sixth grader at Lakewood Middle School. She is involved in the Mustang Achievement Club and Makerspace. Her favorite subject is history because it lets her “travel through time,” exploring how people lived and how cultures evolved. She appreciates all of her teachers because they work hard to help her learn and succeed. Outside of school, Muna participates in gymnastics, soccer, swimming, and tennis. After high school, she wants to become a teacher, travel to many countries, learn different languages, and explore new cultures. Some fun facts about her are that she loves art and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

His favorite subjects are science and art, and his favorite teachers are Mrs. Foutch, Mr. Smucker, Ms. Miller, Mrs. Murphy, and Mr. Boyer. After high school, Timothy plans to go to college to study magnets. A fun fact about him is that he wants to volunteer at the library once he turns 13.

Her favorite part of school is seeing her friends and her advisory and math teacher, Ms. Kueker. Outside of school, she participates in dance, her church, and overseas mission trips. Amelia plans to attend Bethel College and major in psychology to earn a bachelor’s degree in human services or sociology. Some fun facts about her are that she has three sisters, two nieces, one brother, and a dog.
Nerlens is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. At school, Nerlens is involved in band and art. He enjoys school because of the variety of topics he gets to learn about and how kind his teachers are. In the future, he plans to go to college and work in the medical field. Some fun facts about Nerlens are that he enjoys watching movies, playing video games, and doing archery. He also has two dogs, two birds, and a lot of extended family.
Jacob is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. He plays basketball and tennis. He enjoys school because of the kindness of his teachers and the chance to interact with other students. Outside of school, Jacob helps his parents feed, clean, and ride their horses. He also enjoys playing the guitar, has three dogs, and runs a car detailing business. After high school, he plans to help run his dad’s business.
Scarlet is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. Scarlet is involved in tennis and orchestra at school. Her favorite classes have been history because she enjoys learning about what happened in the past to bring us to where we are today. She also likes the orchestra because she enjoys being able to play and listen to music. Scarlet wants to go into acting or a music-related career when she is older. In Scarlet’s free time, she enjoys reading and singing, and a fun fact about her is that she has a pet bunny.
