Miss Barbara Bonhotal
Welcome to FACS from Miss Bonhotal. I'm the FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) teacher at Lakewood Middle School. I'm excited to be here and to meet my new students. I have taught more than 16 years in Hudson, NY; Belize, Central America; Kansas State University; Watertown, NY ; and Manhattan, KS. I enjoy teaching and love to see my students learn.
I have four children; Rose 22, Peter 20, Joy 18, and Antonio 16. Rose will be a junior at K- State this year. Peter will be a junior at KU. Joy will be a freshman at Colorado School of Mines and Antonio is in eleventh grade at Manhattan High.
If you haven't guessed, I live in Manhattan, too. I enjoy my family, sewing, gardening, swimming, and hiking. The hiking is a bit different here, though, from my home state of New York. My four siblings and mom are all there. I've lived in Kansas for 20 years.
